All-around effort leads Central Wisconsin Impact 12U past Wisconsin Thunder 8-2 in Game One

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U beat Wisconsin Thunder 8-2 Saturday behind both the bat and the arm of Logan Schulfer.

Logan had two extra-base hits for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U. He doubled in the first and third innings and singled in the fifth inning.

Logan put together a nice outing. Logan held Wisconsin Thunder hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U beat Wisconsin Thunder thanks to 12 hits, including three extra base hits. Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored four runs in the fourth on Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored in the fourth on an RBI single by Kaden Mazur, a two-run double by Tanner Schude, and an RBI single by Trey Zagrzebski.

A magnificent effort by Logan Schulfer hoisted Central Wisconsin Impact 12U to a 28-8 win in five innings over Wisconsin Rockhounds on Saturday at Dawg Pound / Milwaukee.

Logan racked up eight RBIs on four hits for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third and fifth innings.

The two teams combined for 36 runs and 35 hits, including 10 extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with eight pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

The biggest inning for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U was the fifth. In the inning Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored 15 runs. Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored in the fifth on an RBI single by Trey Zagrzebski, a fielder's choice, a three-run home run by Logan Schulfer, a sacrifice fly by Jared Mountin, an RBI single by Kaden Mazur, a home run by Nathan Konkol, a solo home run by Tanner Schude, and a second three-run home run by Logan Schulfer.

Brock Warren got the win in relief for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U. Brock pitched 2 2/3 innings and allowed two runs.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U easily handled Wisconsin Rockhounds pitching as nine hitters combined for 25 hits, 27 RBIs and 26 runs scored.

Additional home runs for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U came when Brock Warren homered in the first inning, Nathan Konkol homered in the fourth and fifth innings, and Logan Schulfer homered in the third and fifth innings.

The top of the first saw Central Wisconsin Impact 12U take an early lead, 3-0.Isaac Cychosz singled to start things off before Logan singled, bringing home Isaac . More runs came home for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U when S scored on a two-run home run by Brock.

After a quick strike from Central Wisconsin Impact 12U, Wisconsin Rockhounds responded with three runs in the first. Wisconsin Rockhounds scored on a two-run error and an RBI single by Bornhole.

Two runs in the bottom of the third helped Wisconsin Rockhounds close its deficit to 8-5. An error and a steal of home by Turco gave Wisconsin Rockhounds life. The Wisconsin Rockhounds threat came to an end when Brock finally got Fitzgerald to fly out.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U added five more runs in the top of the fourth. A solo home run by Nathan Konkol ignited the offense,. That was followed up by Brock's double, plating Logan and Isaac.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U takes out Thudercat Baseball with help from Nathan Kropidlowski, 4-1 in the quarterfinals

Nathan Kropidlowski went 2-2, helping Central Wisconsin Impact 12U to a 4-1 victory over Thudercat Baseball on Sunday. He singled in the second and fifth innings.

Thudercat Baseball couldn't get anything going as long as Logan Schulfer was pitching. Logan held Thudercat Baseball hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four.

The game was never in doubt after the second, as Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored three runs on an RBI single by Nathan K.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U piled up one more run in the bottom of the third when Tanner Schude stole home.

Thudercat Baseball's lone run of the ballgame came in the sixth inning on a solo home run by Campbell.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U dropped a 12-0 decision to Wisconsin Thunder on Sunday in the semi-final game

Home runs for Wisconsin Thunder came when Train homered in the first inning, Butler homered in the first and second innings, and Obst homered in the second inning.

Isaac Cychosz was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed nine runs in 1 2/3 innings, walked four and struck out two.

Wisconsin Thunder never surrendered the lead after the first inning, scoring five runs on two solo home runs and an RBI single by Broske.

Wisconsin Thunder built upon its lead with five runs in the second. A sacrifice fly scored Cottrill for the inning's first run. That was followed up by Butler's three-run blast, plating Wesling and Rose.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U's Brock was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the first and third innings and doubled in the fifth inning.

The bottom of the first saw Central Wisconsin Impact 12U take an early lead, 1-0. Trey Zagrzebski started the rally for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U with a double. A groundout by Isaac then moved Trey from second to third.

La Crosse BGC didn't relinquish the lead after scoring three runs in the second inning when it scored on two singles.

La Crosse BGC built upon its lead with three runs in the third. Dayne kicked things off with a single, plating Dylan. That was followed up by Austin's single, scoring Dayne.

After pushing across one run in the bottom of the third, Central Wisconsin Impact 12U faced just a 6-2 deficit. A solo home run by Tanner Schude triggered Central Wisconsin Impact 12U's comeback.

Three runs in the bottom of the fourth helped Central Wisconsin Impact 12U close its deficit to 6-5. A two-run double by Nathan Kropidlowski and an RBI single by Isaac set off Central Wisconsin Impact 12U rally. But it wasn’t enough as the Impact fell 6-5 taking home fourth place.

The Impact end the season with a 24-8-1 record claiming back to back GameDay USA Wisconsin State championships. The team will look now to starting fall work outs as the team prepares for its 2016 13u campaign.
