12u Impact Win GameDay USA Summer Slugfest


The Central Wisconsin Impact 12u team traveled to the Wisconsin Dells to play in the 2015 GameDay USA Summer Slugfest tournament and walked away Champions with at 4-0 record.

The Impact opened up on Friday against the Schaumburg Outlaws. The game however was over after a 3 inning mercy rule win with the Impact coming out on top 17-0. Logan Schulfer and Nathan Konkol combined for a no hitter in the game. The second one the combo has thrown in as many tournaments.

Next the Impact was set to play Saturday against the Waukesha Braves.

Isaac Cychosz came up big at the dish and on the rubber, leading Central Wisconsin Impact 12U to a 7-1 win over the Waukesha Braves on Saturday at Kaminski.

Central Wisconsin Impact 12U's Isaac was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the first and fifth innings.

The Waukesha Braves couldn't get anything going as long as Isaac was pitching. The Waukesha Braves managed just four hits off of Cychosz, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

The offense exploded for the Central Wisconsin Impact 12U in the third. In the inning Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored four runs. Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored in the third on a two-run home run by Trey Zagrzebski, an RBI triple by Logan Schulfer, and a groundout by Brock Warren.

Tanner Schude got the win for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U. He allowed one run over three innings. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered five hits.

The Impact based off of the third tie breaker was positioned as the two seed and was set to play the Diamond Dawgs out to the Chicago area.

Sunday was a great day for Trey Zagrzebski, as he hit two home runs to carry Central Wisconsin Impact 12U to a 5-2 victory over Diamond Dawgs Americans in six innings.

Tyler Beyer commanded the zone for five strong innings giving up two runs along the way.

Isaac Cychosz came on for the final inning and got it done on the hill on the way to a win. He tossed one inning of shutout ball. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

The win set up the Impact for the Championship game against the Chicago MudCats.

An impressive effort by Logan Schulfer lifted Central Wisconsin Impact 12U to a 7-1 win in six innings over Chicago Mud cats in the Championship game.

Logan hit two home runs for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U. Logan went 2-3 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Logan homered in the fourth and fifth innings.

The biggest inning for Central Wisconsin Impact 12U was the fifth. In the inning Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored four runs.

Isaac Cychosz got the win in a complete game effort for Central Wisconsin Impact.

The game was never in doubt after the fourth, as Central Wisconsin Impact 12U scored two runs on a two-run home run by Logan.

The Impact 12u are now at 21-6-1 on the season. The Impact next plays in Milwaukee in the Badgerland State Championships.
