IMPACT OPEN SEASON WITH VICTORY

The Central Wisconsin Impact opened their season in remarkable fashion going 5-0 at the Columbus Renegades tournament to bring home the title. The Impact outscored their opponents on the weekend 79-7.

In the first game against the Beloit Bombers, Isaac Cychosz dominated from the mound throwing a complete game shutout recording 8 strikeouts along the way allowing 6 hits and 2 walks. Offensively the Impact pounded out 12 hits on the afternoon, with Isaac leading the way with 3 hits. Tyler Beyer led the team with 3 RBI and a homerun.

IMPACT SHOW THEIR TEETH AGAINST THE WEST BEND BULLDOGS

In the second game against the West Bend Bulldogs, the Impact found a power surge at the plate with Logan Schulfer leading the charge with 2 homeruns and six RBI. The team collectively racked up 16 hits during the event. Great pitching was again on the menu as Tyler Beyer shout out the Bulldogs for 5 innings recording 7 strikeouts. Nathan Kropidlowski came in for relief of Tyler and pitched the final inning recording 2 strikeouts.

IMPACT DOWNS FOND DU LAC RUMBLE FISH TO CLAIM TOP SEED

In the final game on Saturday, the Impacted took the field against the Fond Du Lac Rumble Fish. The Impact pitching staff again was up to the challenge allowing only four hits in the contest. Nathan Konkol got the win going 4 1/3 innings allowing 3 hits. Tristan Schelvan came on for the final 1 2/3 innings allowing only 1 hit. Offensively, the Impact pounded out 12 hits lead by Jared Mountin and Logan Schulfer both going 2 for 2 respectively. Logan Schulfer and Marcus Jaworski also recorded 3 RBI a piece.

IMPACT PLAY EXCELS THEM TO CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

In Sunday Semi Final action the Impact took on the hometown Columbus Renegades and the bats were up for the task as the Impact stroked out 24 hits in the contest. The Impact recorded triples from Carson Guck and Nathan Konkol. Logan Schulfer and Isaac Cychosz each went 4 for 4 in the game. Logan Schulfer led the team with 5 RBI. On the mound Marcus Jaworski and Tanner Schude held the Renegades to just 2 hits in the contest with Marcus picking up the win.

IMPACT BATS EXPLODE AGAINST WEST BEND WARRIORS IN CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

In the Championship game on Sunday, the bats once again took over from the start and a power display was put on by Tyler Beyer and Logan Schulfer. Tyler recorded two homeruns in the game; Logan Schulfer concluded the derby with a homerun of his own. Schulfer also recorded the victory on the mound pitching 3 innings and recording 6 strikeouts.
